Diversions that affect to public transport due to cuts or events in the city center main streets: Gran Vía - Reyes Católicos - Acera del Darro

Detour due cut in City Center


In the axis Gran Vía - Reyes Católicos - Puerta Real it is normal to find civic or religious events and demonstrations too, which implies traffic cuts in Gran Vía de Colón, Isabel la Católica Square, Reyes Católicos, Puerta Real and Acera del Darro.

This kind of affections to mobility make that public transport change its route as follows:


Bus Detour, cut in Puerta Real

If the traffic cut, besides affecting Gran Vía and Reyes Católicos, also affects Puerta Real and Recogidas, public transport will not get in Acera del Darro .

Diversions due to traffic cuts in  Puerta Real or Recogidas

Lines 4 (and 33, 8, 9, 11 and 21 line as well) will not get in Acera del Darro, so it will get through Camino de Ronda to the junction with Méndez Núñez, where they will turn right to get to Fuente Nueva – Severo Ochoa, where they will get to Constitución Avenue, and taking up it original route.

Line 4 turns from Constitucion Avenue to Severo Ochoa, instead of continue to Gran Vía. Customer have the possibility of get off the bus in the last sopt of Constitucion street to get on foot to the center. Public transport will follow through Severo Ochoa,Fuente Nueva, Albert Einstein, Martínez de la Rosa and Camino de Ronda. Continue through Camino de Ronda to Aviacion Roundabout, where it turns to Paseo del Violon .


Bus stops not prepared with validation machines

In this diverted route, the line 4 buses will stop in every stop of the itinerary. Because there are no card reader in the stop it will be neccessary to get in the bus using the driver´s door, and validate bus pass or ticket on the card reader in the bus.


Bus Detour, cut in Reyes Católicos-Gran Vía

If the traffic cut affects Gran Vía and Reyes Católicos, this is, it is possible to get to Acera del Darro, Puerta Real and Recogidas, public transport will have the following route:

When it circulates in South – North sense get to Acera del Darro and at Puerta Real turn left to Recogidas, going down through this road to Camino de Ronda.

When it circulates in North – South sense it makes the same itinerary that in the previous example, but at Camino de Ronda in junction with Recogidas will get to Recogidas to its normal route through Acera del Darro.


Bus stops not prepared for line 4

In this diverted route, the line 4 buses will stop in every stop of the itinerary. Because there are no card reader in the stop it will be neccessary to get in the bus using the driver´s door, and validate bus pass or ticket on the card reader in the bus.


Minibuses lines

Depending on the affection to mobility is made in the streets adjacent or not, the minibuses of Albaicín, Sacromonte, Realejo and Alhambra will use one diversion or another.

If traffic cut only affects the axis of public transport (Gran Vía - Reyes Católicos), minibuses of lines C31, C32 and C34 (Albaicín and Sacromonte) will modify their itinerary, replacing Gran Vía for Elvira Street.

If traffic cut also affects the adjacent streets, as on Holy Week, when Elvira street or Carrera del Darro are closed to traffic, lines C31 and C34 will have their head at Hospicio Avenue, going up to Albaicin and Sacromonte through Carretera de Murcia.
