According to Access Control Municipal Regulatory Ordinance in Granada, there is an access control point in San Matías street to get to Realejo District.

Also, to ease access to residents from the north of the city, people with resident card are authorized to pass through Elvira street camera control point until 22:00h, from that moment on residents can pass through Gran Vía street.

This control point is indicated before the beginning of the street (Ángel Ganivet street and Mariana Pineda square).

Hotel customers in the restricted area are considered residents, and therefore, authorized to get through access control point. They must communicate their car´s number plate in the hotel´s reception, so the stablishment could send their reservation data to the Center for the Integrated Management of Mobility.

Paseo de las Palmas, considered in a school area, is a street with two directions until junction with Las Mercedes St. and with one sense lane from that crossing until junction with Cuesta del Pino, where it returns to a two sense direction until Carretera de la Sierra. At the high of building number 32 there is a vertical sign S-28 of “RESIDENTIAL STREET” .
Answering to citizen´s demands and according to guidelines of the Delegation of Citizen´s Protection and Mobility, from a traffic viewpoint, on the part of Technical Service, has been proposed the rearrangement of Paseo de las Palmas as its described below:
- The restriction of vehicle entrance in all its journey, with the installation of signals R-101 of “PROHIBITTED ENTRANCE”, allowing access to authorized vehicles:
- Installation of vertical sign S-28 de “RESIDENTIAL STREET” incluiding signal “PROHIBITTED ENTRANCE FOR VEHICLES AIMED TO GOODS DELIVERY HEAVIER THAN 3.5TM”, signal R-402 of WIDTH LIMITATION 1,9m”, and signal P-25 “TWO SENSE CIRCULATION”, in the crossing with Las Mercedes St. and Parrilla St..
“S-28 Residential Street. Indicates the special areas aimed to pedestrians and areas with specific traffic rules: maximum speed is limitated to 20 Kilometers per hour and drivers must give top priority to pedestrians. Vehicles can be stopped only in reserved placed to do it marked by signals or paintings.
Pedestrians can use all circulation area. Games and sports are authorized to be performed there. Pedestrians should not interfere vehicles unnecessarily.”
