Center for the Complete Management of Mobility in the City of Granada in English
Project STARS-Erasmus
The City Council of Granada educates on urban routes with shared bikes.
The Educational Center in Road Safety of the Mobility Area, togheter with Granada al Pedal and in cooperation with Local Police, organise educative cyclist routes through the streets of the city with OFO shared bikes.
Last Friday 18 May 2018, due to the repection of ERASMUS students of school San Isidoro, togheter with the ambassadors of Project STARS of the same school, and its teaching staff as well, was organised a Educational Workshop of substainable and healthful displacements on bike promoted by the Municipal Educational Center on Road Safety that are being implemented over the school year.
With that object and to inculcate the proper use of hired bike, company OFO offered their bicycles to diffuse an educational image of them, whose aim is to ease displacements using this mean of transport, already implemented in Europe, for grenadines.
This activity has been made in three parts as usual:
- Theoretical session where knowledges about riding a bicycle, benefits, normative, equipment etc are taught
- Skills practice on a closed circuit : bikeability.
- Circulating around the city and different kind of streets aimed to bicyles.
Itinerary has been variated and varied degrees of complexity.
Participants have shown an interest and proper behaviour at every moment, all this in a friendly atmosphere and receptive to learning, making these moments compatible with the cordial leisure atmosphere made.
