Center for the Complete Management of Mobility in the City of Granada in English
The City Council of Granada and MAPFRE approach Road Safety to 725 children of 17 schools
The MAPFRE Caravan of Road Safety will be installed in the terrace of Palacio de Congresos from 17 to 20 November 2015.
The City Council of Granada has a huge career in its worry with Childhood in general and with Educational Road Safety in particular:
- On the 2012 Edition we won the prize Ponle Freno Junior thanks to our activities in Educational Road Safety, developed in our Local Center of Education in Road Safety.
- In 2014, we won the Ciudad Amiga de la Infancia Prize, awarded by UNICEF
- We supported the III Worldwide Week of Road Safety developed by the United Nations, of which target of the last edition was: The Children.
- We have a large experience in Educational Road Safety, that is demanded, every year , about 90 school centers which target is to educate boys and girls in their displacements to be safer and our city more habitable and accessible for them. The average of participants to our courses is between 11.000 to 13.000 schoolchilds of every school year of any ages. Our activities encourages education as pedestrians, cyclists, passengers and bikers, always from a theorical - practical perspective and reinforced by audiovisual and printed material delivered to be worked on it in their houses or school centers, involving the educational and family community in our project with Childhood.
- We have been studied several means of transport, on children under 14 years involved in accidents: as pedestrians and passengers are the main reasons.The aim is to make more realistic and defined our educational measures although it is important the cooperation and conciousness awareness of parents and relatives so, with their example, show their children the importance, to avoid accidents, of the compliance of the normative in the use of pedestrians, traffic lights, use of seat belt, mobile phone ...

The Caravan of Educational Road Safety of FUNDACIÓN MAPFRE is an educational activity focused to children between 8 and 12 years old that affect in all society, because it pretend to set the basis to educate more safer , responsible and respectful citizens. check more info at www.fundacionmapfre.org.
