More than 1000 police officers to ensure the safety and secure of the city in the Holy Week of Granada. Parihuela Plan 2015 manages a huge presence, incluiding medical services, Public Safety and Red Cross.
More than a thousand of police officers to ensure the safety and secure of the Holy Week in Granada and the its risks arising from the accumulation of people in specific points of the itineraries. A sum of 813 policeman will be distribuidos according to the necessities of the moment and 323 National Police officers will cooperate in preventive labores in citizen´s secure. Parihuela Plan 2015 manages a huge presence, incluiding medical services, Public Safety and Red Cross, making criteria, rules and procedures to coordinate the acts of each area.
The celebration of the Holy Week requires extraordinaries services of different nature that demand an special coordination to look after citizens, brotherhoods and associations properly . Besides exceptions, Parihuela Plan has these aims:
Parihuela Plan circumscribes its operating range to these points: the area where the processions of the Holy Week run, incluiding starting and ending points of the brotherhoods to their home churches, because of the amount of people in those critical points and the space limitations; the official itinerary section and main ways out.
The center of operative coordination (CECOP) involves the State bodies and Security forces, Public Safety volunteers, health emergency and Brotherhoods.Will be on duty while parades take place, between 15.30 and 16 hours and the 0.30 and 4.30, aproximately.
Local Policeman will manage security and both traffic and pedestrian neccessities;the development of the processions; access to any kind of emergency to the city center; exactly and detailed information of the incidences and displacements of interest and the strict compliance of the laws.
Traffic cuts will be an hour before of processsions. Will be closed to road traffic accesses and itineraries through Gran Vía, Reyes Católicos, Puerta Real, Acera del Darro, Recogidas, Mariana Pineda Square and contigous streets, and also the official itinerary streets. This official itinerary includes Mariana Pineda Square, Ganivet, Puerta Real, Recogidas, Alhóndiga, Marqués de Gerona and Pasiegas.
Urban buses will use as an alternative way to the center, when it would be possible because of the parades, streets Severo Ochoa, Rector López Argüeta, Gran Capitán and Camino de Ronda. Besides, three taxi head points will be in Acera del Darro, Carrera de la Virgen sense of traffic; Recogidas, in junction with Solarillo de Gracia, and Gran Vía, besides the earlier Bank of Spain building.
The pedestrian crossings in the official itinerary will be located in Ángel Ganivet in junction with Mariana Pineda Square, Cuadro de San Antonio, Almona del Campillo and Puerta Real; in Sierpe Baja in junction with Darrillo de la Magdalena, Mesones in junction with Marqués de Gerona and in Pasiegas, besides Colegio Catalino street.

From sunday 29 march to sunday 5 april, the diversion of traffic will be from 17:00 hours (due to Local Police instructions).
Sunday 5 april is the only day when the diversion is in the morning and not in the afternoon.
Lines from Constitución Ave. goes through Severo Ochoa, Fuente Nueva, Martínez de la Rosa and Camino de Ronda.
Lines from Poeta Manuel de Góngora and Humilladero goes through Paseo del Violón to Camino de Ronda.
Lines U1, U2 and U3 don´t give service in the Holy Week.
