On August 1st, user of the new high capacity line (LAC) could buy, charge and validate their bus single tickets and passes in the vending machines installed in the bus marquee.
From this date, this service, that in its first weeks of implementation had no cost for the user, won´t be free anymore.
Citizen´s protection and Mobility city council Mrs. Telesfora Ruiz, who has visited this week the LAC stop located in Puerta Real has emphasized that offering the purchase and charge through this devices installed in the stops, not only improve the access to this public transport but to offer an additional effective way to pay.
About the functioning of the vending machines, Ruiz has remembered that the cashiers show in a button the resume of the fares that the vending machine is able to sell, so user could choose between the options.
So, on one side, with single ticket, user could purchase several tickets in the same operation with a maximum of 9. When pressing button Accept, payment will be in cash, allowing to use bills or coins.Information on the display will show the fare, price of the purchase, amount payed, amount to pay, and the change, when user insert more money than needed .
On the other side, this device offers to purchase a new bus pass, charge one that we already have, and see card activity; all that, in the window Charge and sell of bus passes.
Also the council has pointed out the importance of bus pass validations in the LAC´s stops, a validation that also affects transfers, that will be free for 60 minutes, either from LAC to a metropolitan or reverse.
